Monopoly GO Shield Skins: How to Get Different Shields

If you’re wondering about how to get different shields in Monopoly GO or what shield skins are all about, here’s how to grab them. If you land on one of the four railroads tiles on the board, you’ll trigger a Shutdown minigame where you can attack another person’s board and get money by attacking their landmarks. However, that can happen to you too. Shields allow you to block any incoming attacks and mitigates what an opponent can take from you. To add insult to injury, shield skins are cosmetics that allow you to block attacks with style. Here’s how to unlock different shields or themed shields in Monopoly GO for Android and iOS.

How to unlock different shields in Monopoly GO

To get different shields in Monopoly GO, you need to reach Level 35 and complete objectives in the Wins category of the game. They’re also awarded during special events and for getting to specific networth levels.

You’ll find the Wins section in the lower left side of the main menu where you’ll find a bunch of objectives and goals that you can complete for rewards. Some of these rewards include shield skins, or what the game sometimes calls Themed Shields. If you don’t see any shield cosmetics, you may need to wait a week or two so that the Wins list can refresh with new goals

Once you fill the meter for the appropriate objective and earn a new shield skin, they will appear in your Showroom, which can be accessed by pressing its dedicated button on the menu or by hitting the three shield slots in the upper right-side. If you’re able to unlock enough shield skins to complete a row on the shelf, you’ll also receive a nifty bonus, so it’s well worth grabbing as many of these themed shields as you can, even if you may not care for how they look.
