Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask Release Date Revealed

The first part of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, Part 1: The Teal Mask, has a release date for next month. The adventure will be followed by Part 2: The Indigo Disk in winter 2023.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask will be released for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on September 13, 2023. Players go on a school trip to Kitakami for an outdoor study program that is being held jointly with another school. New Pokémon will be introduced like Munkidori, Okidogi, Fezandipiti, Ogerpon, and Dipplin as players look for signboards that explain the new land’s folklore and mysteries.

Today’s brand new trailer, shown during the Pokémon Presents showcase, also gave a glimpse of the second part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Part 2: The Indigo Disk sees players head on an exchange trip to Blueberry Academy. More details on this DLC were promised for “a later date”, although we do know there will also be new Pokémon here like Terapagos, Archaludon, Raging Bolt, and Iron Crown.

In the meantime, a new Get Mew & Mewtwo! in-game event will begin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet today, August 8, 2023. Running until 7:59 AM PDT on September 18, players can enter the code GETY0URMEW in the Mystery Gift menu to finally add Mew to their team.

Beginning at 5 PM PDT on August 31, 2023 will be a special Tera Raid Battle event that also lets players add the elusive Mewtwo to their collection. The battle will run until 4:59 AM PDT on September 17 and lets players challenge the Pokémon with the Mightiest Mark.
