Xbox Game Pass July 2023 Wave 1 Games Include GTA5

The new games coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at the start of July 2023 have been announced. They include the return of GTA5 after it was removed from the service previously, only this time it’s on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Xbox Game Pass July 2023 new games

The first wave of Xbox Game Pass games for this month begins today on July 5 when Grand Theft Auto V returns to the service on console and Xbox cloud gaming. Sword and Fairy: Together Forever also arrives on console and PC as mentioned towards the end of last month.

The remaining six games — which include Exoprimal and a delisted Xbox Live Arcade game — will arrive on different platforms throughout the first part of the month. The list includes:

  • Grand Theft Auto V (Console and Cloud) – July 5
  • Sword and Fairy: Together Forever (Console and PC) – July 5
  • McPixel 3 (Console, PC, and Cloud) – July 6
  • Common’hood (Console, PC, and Cloud) – July 11
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm (PC) – July 11
  • Exoprimal (Console, PC, and Cloud) – July 14
  • Techtonica [Game Preview] (Console, PC, and Cloud) – July 18
  • The Cave (Console and Cloud) – July 18

Several new DLC and game updates have also been released lately. These include Barbie and Ken content for Forza Horizon 5, the FIFA 23 Women’s World Cup update, the Arcade Challenge! Update! for Hi-Fi Rush, and the Battle of Zhongyuan DLC for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Tomorrow, on July 6, the Kraken Awakes DLC will arrive as part of Season 2 for Sniper Elite 5.

Tomorrow also sees the release of two new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks. There’s a new Madden NFL 23 EA Play Ultimate Team Pack available until July 31. Meanwhile, the Sea of Thieves Obsidian Banjo Pack is available for a limited time, although Microsoft didn’t mention when this offer will expire.

Finally, there is also a trio of games leaving Xbox Game Pass on July 16. These are Exo One, PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls, and Spelunky 2, all of which will be removed for console, PC, and cloud.
